First edition, ninth printing hardcover copy of God Emperor of Dune by Frank Herbert (G.P. Putnam’s Sons, 1981). Book four in the beloved science fiction Dune series. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Faint staining to bottom edge of rear liner flap. White line along top edge of jacket, likely a guide line for cut that was a bit off during production. Boards straight and clean but with corners slightly bumped. Binding is split in a few places, most notably at title page. Some faint discoloration to outer edges of text block. See photos for condition.
